NRA Finals moves to Butte
After 36 years of success in the Metra Park Arena and Billings, MT, the
directors of the Northern Rodeo Association have voted to host its
finals in Butte, MT in the Butte Civic Center. The new finals dates will
be September 29, 30, and October 1. (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
nights)
The 2011 rodeo season will end in mid September. The top 10 finalists in
each event will compete each night for increased prize money and in
front of enthusiastic crowds. Railway Productions, spearheaded by Bill
Fisher Jr., a Butte native, will be in charge of the production and
promotion of the finals. Railway Productions has extensive experience
hosting extreme and western-themed events. Other primary committee
members are Doug Clark, Tim Matich and Gayle McLean of Butte. The people
and businesses of Butte have already shown they are 100% behind this
event and are very excited for the rodeo to be in town.
This opens a new era for the Northern Rodeo Association and is going to
lead to a bigger and better finals rodeo! If you have any questions,
please don’t hesitate to contact either the NRA office or myself.
Good luck to all the contestants, contractors, and personnel this summer
as you make the run to the 2011 NRA Finals!
